Her customary form is that of a human woman, roughly in her late thirties and with graying hair. She dresses in the fashion of various times throughout the period on Earth known as the 21st century.

She enjoys interacting with complex processes, including not only people and gods but machines and ecosystems; her greatest passion is creating systems of many such processes of different kinds and watching their joint evolution. Since coming to the mansion, she has been terrified of anything that could potentially be dangerous to her body, because she is not truly immortal.

She sees the krith as an experiment, and for that purpose intends to create as many experimental groups (differing from the control group by a single variable) as possible. She also cares for their wellbeing, but their purpose as test subjects comes first.

Sara's body is outwardly that of a normal human, but has been so extensively modified as to be completely baffling to biology. At the height of her power, she was a 9-dimensional being composed of points rather than atoms, but upon entering the mansion was forced into a physical human body. She no longer has the knowledge to maintain her augmentations; this frightens her.

The krith take the form of large cubes in three main layers. The outer, visible layer is composed of slime that can form temporary appendages, provides a form of locomotion, and is used to digest nearly any matter. When the top layer is removed, the middle layer composed of interlocking metal rectangular prisms is visible until it grows back. Krith communicate by altering the colors of their slime.

Like their creator, the krith are very methodical and precise. Less like her, they are also very social; this is aided by their high-bandwidth form of communication. They spend lots of time moving so they can gather matter from which to extract energy. They have few ambitions of their own; left to their own devices, they would end up migrating perpetually in ever-growing packs.

The krith reproduce by dying: a mature carcass quickly loses its slime coating, exposing the second layer of interlocking rectangular prisms. These prisms break away from each other, and each one will become a new brain (the inner layer). After about 18 hours, the offspring have their own coat of slime; the reproductive second layer has grown to about 20 prisms by the end of five days. Before the slime layer has grown, prisms are extremely fragile.
